Former NBA star Gary Payton recorded a message to the Miami Heat before the fifth game of the final series with the Los Angeles Lakers (1-3).
“I Have a message for the Miami Heat. Everyone doubts you now. Everyone writes you off. They’re getting ready to crown the other guys. They Polish the trophy for them. They have champagne on the rocks. But they forget one thing. You’re still here. You are still here — and you should be here. The next three games will focus on culture. They forget about the damn Miami Heat, “Payton was quoted as saying by The Players Tribune.
Payton played for Miami from 2005-2007. In the 2005/2006 season, he became a League champion, playing in the same team with the legendary attacking defender Dwayne Wade and center Shaquille O’neal.
Shaquille O’neal: Ladies and gentlemen, I have a confession.
NBA legend and now TNT analyst Shaquille o’neal admitted in his podcast that this year will be the first time to vote in the US election, which he has never done before.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I have a confession to make. You know, I always want to be honest in my podcast. I’ve never voted in a US election before. Now I’m involved in all these election campaigns. And you know that I would never want to be a hypocrite. So the other day I received my absentee ballot… In other words, America, I’m voting for the first time, and it’s nice. I’m honest. I’ve never voted in my life. This is my first vote. I swear,” Shaq said.
Shaquille o’neal played for the Orlando magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Phoenix suns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Boston Celtics in the NBA. As a member of the Lakers and Heat, he won a total of four League titles. O’neal, a first-round pick in the 1992 draft, was named the NBA MVP and played 15 times in the League’s all-star games. Shaquille is inducted into the basketball hall of fame for outstanding achievement in the sport.
